Our Background

Steelhaven was founded by David Elliott and Joshua Butler after spending the last half decade working hands-on in the roofing and home improvement industry. We have personally managing and completed over 200+ residential and commercial projects across the state of North Carolina.

This experience taught us so much about the roofing and construction industry—but more importantly, it showed us what homeowners are too often subjected to.

Too many contractors chase quick payouts. Insurance claims are thrown against the wall to see what sticks. Repairs and jobs are rushed resulting in leaks or other issues long term. Longevity is used as a selling point, as if being in business for decades automatically means quality work.

We started Steelhaven to change this industry once and for all!!

Our focus is simple: Giving accurate assessments and honest guidance, so work is completed correctly the first time. We don’t push claims, we don’t cut corners to increase volume, and if we put our name on it, we take responsibility for it!!

We are extremely excited to serve the Roxboro, Timberlake, and Rougemont communities as our families have grown up here. We want our customers to feel like friends, not just another number in the account book. It is our neighbors, friends, and referrals that cement the foundation of a brand we are trying to build for the long term.

So yes, Steelhaven is a new company, and we aren’t the biggest contractor in the market, but we are here to be one that still answers the phone, stands behind our work, and understands that real reputation is built on quality work and building connections that last.
